I took an evening walk up a hill through a forest near Insch, Scotland. The weather was a bit over cast and started to rain lightly a few times, but just as I got to the summit the sun peaked through a part in the clouds and the light cascaded over the fields creating a beautiful yellow light and some long shadows.
Usually when I try to get a photo of some cows its quite difficult because they are very apprehensive of you and tend to run away when you get close. However the cows in this field didnt seem to mind me at all and were very curious of the camera.
I fed the camera through a gap in the fence and one of them went right up to it. I got the picture just before it stuck its wet nose right onto the lens.
I spotted these tree trunks on fire at Napier beach, New Zealand. It was quite a surreal experience as the beach is covered in grey stones and there is very little colour. The embers stood out so much across the expanse of the beach.
