The night lights of Bangkok really show the bustle of the capital of Thailand. The bright neon signs on the tall buildings, the train passing overhead and cars whizzing past in all directions, all of there lights are fighting for your attention.
The reflection into the pond quietens buzz and the faint ripples across the surface fade the noise of light.
Halong Bay in Vietnam is home to hundreds of limestone islands that stick out of the ocean. This one in particular is called the lonely island as it sits far from the rest of the clustered inlets that scatter the area.
It is a wonderful site to visit, as your boat passes by hundred of huge vegetation rich rocks its hard to comprehend the scale of it all.
Over the past few days there has been a festival on in Chiang Mai which is held over the time of a full moon. Hundreds of lanterns are launched into the air, each has a small candle and the heat from the flame gives the lanterns there lift. You can see a couple dozen lanterns in this photo, the small yellow dots that look like sparks from the firework are actually lanterns.
